前索尼全球工作室总裁Shawn Layden近日在接受油管创作者;Destin Legarie”的采访时,谈论到了他对目前3A游戏现状的担忧。

对此Layden表示:;我对此非常担忧。我认为,我们看到AAA游戏的预算不断膨胀,这对游戏业来说是一个生存威胁。我们发现,随着预算的增加,风险承受能力很快就会降为零。”
此外Layden还对随着疫情期间爆发增长的;实时服务游戏热潮”发表了看他,他承认许多开发者和发行商;都想从中分一杯羹”:;随着时间的推移,我们学到了什么——也许时间是唯一的老师——有多少款服务类游戏可以同时在市场上生存?一个人实际上可以玩多少款‘永久游戏’?然后你如何在此基础上发展市场?”

虽然;很多人都尝试过”,但Layden表示;似乎很难进入那七大游戏行列”,他指出了《GTA Online》、《堡垒之夜》和《Apex英雄》等成功游戏。当Legarie指出,游戏之间争夺玩家时间,说服他们玩新游戏而不是他们喜欢的老游戏,这也是一个问题时Layden补充道:;转换需要成本。”他举了一个例子,《命运2》玩家试图说服朋友和他们一起尝试一款新的掠夺者射击游戏。;他们会说,‘不,我们不喜欢,’然后你会说,‘嘿,我也不喜欢。好吧,我们就保持原样。’”
